This sweet girl,

Is 5 months!!

We couldn't ask for more! She still sleeps all night and is now taking regular morning and afternoon naps. Loves her big brother and baths. Is eating solid food and isn't picky about what she eats. Loves to smile and laugh.....oh, what that smile does to me.

Has figured out how to push herself up on her arms. Which reminds me crawling won't be too far off.

Our lives are complete now. Didn't know what we were missing until now.

We love you baby girl!!!!

Sew on the wild side

I have been on the hunt for a pillowcase dress for Ainsley. I found loads of them on-line but I wasn't willing to pay the $35-$50 they charge for 'em. Crazy, right? So I started looking for a pattern. After an exhausting and frustrating search I finally found (and paid for) the pattern measurements. Yes, you have to make the patterns yourself. Now, I've never been a math or geometry kinda gal...so this was painful. Ha! I finally got the patterns made and had a feeling of accomplishment. This is what I started out with.

Voila!! It fits her perfectly. These dresses are great. She can wear them with a long sleeve onesie and tights now, and then as a sundress this summer.

Showing Some Love

I wanted to do something different this year. Not the same 'ol card boring card on Valentines Day. So, I came up with this this.

I have all flavors of cookie cutters...this one is about 3". It works great.

I used the cookie cutter to trace 28 hearts onto cardstock paper. Yes, I did say 28. 14 for Michael and 14 for Tanner, that does make 28, right?

After cutting them out I wrote something special one each one.

Here is 10 days worth of hearts (please ignore the ugly white walls....still in process of painting).
They really have had a lot of fun with these. Girls, dont't foget to tell your honey how much you admire them.....they need it! *wink*

I'm going to try making homemade donuts this weekend. Yum! Will let you know how that goes.

Snags

He lost another tooth at school last week! Yes, he is missing 3 teeth on top. Don't you just love a toothless grin.....on a kiddo that is. Just thought I better clear that up. ; ) I tried for days to get a picture....you'd think I was pulling teeth! HA!

Yes, I do poke fun every now and then but I do know that these days will soon be gone, and I'll be the one longing for the tooth fairy days. (Sniff, sniff)

Rub a Dub Dub...

Tonight I gave Ainsley a bath in the big kids tub. I've been worried about her in the baby tub lately because she's trying to sit up and roll to her side. She wasn't to sure about this new adventure at first but being the amenable baby that she is....well, she adapted very well and ended up sharing her bath water with me.

I do need to find her a mat or something to lay her down on though. By the time I got her out she had a red mark on her back and head. :(

Tomorrow is February 1st. Don't forget Valentine's Day is right 'round the corner. I'm working on something but can't share the details yet....just in case Michael decides to take a peek at what I've been up to. Check back before Valentines Day!

4 months

I am a very happy baby. I still sleep all night and can roll onto my back and my tummy. I have figured out to raise up on my arms and can even get my knees up underneath me. Don't remind Momma about that one though; she flipped out when she saw me do it. Oh, and Daddy keeps telling me"you ain't gettin' married till you're 40". Uh-huh....we'll see about that.

I got more shots this month. Not sure who cried more....me or momma. Not sure why she cried I'm the one who got stuck!! I weigh 13.4 lbs and am wearing 6-9 month clothes. Yes I know that I'm only 4 months.... I can't help it my legs are so long. : ) I'm 26" long! WOW!!

I am eating "real" food now. It's quite tasty.....and doesn't have all those chemicals and additives in it. Mom says it called Plum Organics. You can find it here.
I know she has pictures of me eating....am sure she'll post one (or all) of 'em so you can see.

Long time Gone

Wow....it's been how many weeks since my last post? Yes, it has been a bit crazy to say the least. Let's see....we had Christmas, New Years, and a move to our new house in a month. Whew....are you tired yet? Ha!! Yes, to be completely honest I probably could've found the time but to be honest with you I just haven't had the energy. I am still wading through boxes upstairs and in the garage....did I mention I loathe moving? Grrr.....

Do you ever feel overextended, inadequate and searching for direction all at the same time? Needless to say that's where I am. I'm sure a lot of it is self-induced.....but trying to be the best mom I know how to be is worth it. All I can think is one day "I'm gonna miss this".


Praying and waiting for God to answer. In the meantime I will continue to do what I can with what He gave me.
