At a loss for words

Yes, that is two pink lines in the window. : o Given my history of fertility issues you can imagine how shocked I was. Either way we are thrilled and can't wait. I am about 7 weeks and the nausea has already started . Our first doctor visit is on the 22nd. Will have ultrasound pictures to share. : )

Have a wonderful week.

Lately

3 minutes. That's it. Here we go. ; )

Ainsley is talking more and more everyday. She's always asking "Mommy k, Daddy K, Tee Toe (that's her version of Tanner) K?" Sweet girl is always concerned about everyones well being. She'll be 23 months tomorrow. : o Still tryin to figure that one out!!

We've had something runnin' around our house. Not quite sure but it has caused 104 degree fever, stomach problems and a catheter at the doctors office.....and that's just Ainsley. : (

Tanner starts school again in less than 3 weeks. I admit I'm ready for it. He is such a handful. Those who really know Tanner and how is will understand. Don't judge. It breaks my heart that I feel that way.

My business has blown up! It's a good thing but I find myself feeling incredibly swamped 24/7. I know I can do this, it's just finding a way to make it all work. Hot Wheels and Fairytales is officially in a boutique in Florida and starting in September we'll be in Australia. Yes, Australia. Blows my mind. What started as an outlet after Dad passed away has become something that has God written all over it. HE is the only explanation. : )

Okay, I've run past my 3 minute mark and the banshees are torturing each other. Must go play referee again.....

Bleh....

Because I'm being real, and because I think we all (at times) only share the pretty and neat part of our lives....I'm sharing the "ugly" today. I know we all get in those funks occasionally, you know the ones I'm speaking of. The days when you feel like the whole world is sitting on your shoulders and if just one thing goes wrong you're gonna completely loose what bit of sanity you had left! Well, some of us will admit that we have those days, the others can choose to live in denial. Maybe it's the lack of caffeine I've had lately, or just hormones running ram pet, I think I could go on here....... Either way, I'm here admitting that today really stinks and I'm praying that this will "release" my frustration and kick the dark cloud over my head away! If not there's always that box of chocolates. Just kidding, those who know me well would know better. I'm not a chocolate gal. Go ahead and gasp......maybe I am beyond help. ; )

One unbelievably LONG post

I hope you've got a comfortable chair and something to drink, this is a long post. I've gone back to the end of May and finished with an early Father's Day for Michael's dad.

The last week of school was really short for Tanner. We got an amazing deal at the Great Wolf Lodge in Grapevine and jumped on it. It meant missing 2 days of school but thought it was worth it.

This is the only picture I got of the water park. Yes, I wanted more pictures, especially of the kids playing, but the thought of keeping up with them and a camera in all the water didn't sound all that "fun".

The walls were amazing. Painted tree murals everywhere.

Lobby of the Great Wolf. Water park is over to left, you can see the large windows.

Tanner wouldn't take one with me....and I even bribed.

Leaving.....and dreading the drive home. Ainsley doesn't ride well these days.

What a way to end a trip, huh? The guy driving this car ran off the road, hit the metal cables dividing the highway and ended up sideways on the freeway. We were hit with flying debris....as we were headed the opposite direction. An experience I could have lived without.

Had the Yukon appraised today.....finally. Have to have a new hood and grill. Not sure what other damage has been done inside the hood....can't get it open. Fun stuff!

I snagged this picture before he jumped on the bus.....for his last day of 2nd grade. : (

Award for all A's & B's this school year. WHOO HOO!! A classmate of his received an award for perfect attendance, for the last 3 years! Seriously, who does that? Wonder what her momma feeds her!?

The BEST big brother ever! Not only did he want Ainsley to sit on his lap but he fed her his ice cream. Need me a spoon....I could eat both of 'em right up!!

This is just insane! We haven't even "officially" started summer.

Root beer float to celebrate another school year. Coulda swore I just dropped him off for Kindergarten, and now.....we'll be starting 3rd grade in the fall! UGH

My happy place....sweet ice tea! YUM!!!

Since the last day of school happened to be Michael's birthday as well, we had dinner at Spring Creek BBQ. Those who know my husband would not have been surprised by his choice. Is it possible to have BBQ sauce runnin' through your veins?! ; o

SURPRISE!!! Michael's mom slipped a "40" birthday balloon on his chair when he went to the restroom. Completely took him by surprise. SO fun! : )

We had lunch with all of Michael's family at Pappadeux for lunch on Sunday. Tanner went home with Nannie and Pa afterwards and is still there tonight. It's been really quite here the last 2 days....I don't like it one bit!!

Ainsley trying to snag Aunt Cathy's "pretties".

One other thing to add before I finish this record breaking post. Remember last week when I said I was swamped with dress orders? Well, I was contacted by this sweet lady from Florida who is opening up a girls boutique and wanted to know if I'd be willing to provide her with dresses. Totally caught me off guard and blew me away! WOW! I am grateful for the opportunity and have enjoyed the chaos! I have finished up 2 orders for her as of today and am working on the 3rd. In all I've sent her 17 dresses in the last 3 weeks. Amazing to think that a 2 months ago I was questioning if this is what I was suppose to be doing. I know that it isn't always this clear but the power of prayer is definitely obvious here. : )

Same story....

Nope, I didn't do it. I had the best of intentions but it just didn't happen. : (

Between a migraine this weekend and more dress orders I am swamped. Don't get me wrong, I'm not complaining in the least. Just trying to find a way to get it all done. Obviously, blogging has been put to the side for now.

So, maybe before the end of the week I'll post pictures and give ya the rundown.

Until then have a good week!

Do you smell that?

Well, do you? How can you not know what I'm talking about? Seriously, you don't have a clue do you?? It's okay I'll let it slide. ; ) I'm referring to my blogging. I so totally stink at it right now. I could go on and list the reasons why I have not but in all seriousness I'm probably the only one who's noticed. No, I take that back I know a certain someone who would.

So, I'm making myself a promise that at some point this weekend I'll do a post about today's special day, and how amazingly crazy the last 2 weeks have been.

Until then, peace out. ; )

I'm counting the hours

Approximately 4 hours left. My love has been in the "Windy City" since Saturday morning and is due to land in Houston some time after 9pm. Whoo-hoo!! : )

The kids have missed him terribly. Sweet Ainsley has been saying "Daddy, Daddy, Daddy". I feel so bad, I know she has to be confused as all get out! You see, Daddy is the one who puts her to bed at night. Sweetness, I tell you!

Here are a few pics of Chicago. I hope to do a new post when I get a hold of his actual trip photos.

Wrigley Field. He hung out here Sunday. Was told it was in the 40's and very windy. Hehe, get it? Sorry!

Ainsley is one smart little stinker! She moves her stool to the kitchen counter and grabs whatever food (cheese is her fave) is within her little arms length. And today, she used my canning wand to give herself a little shower. I now have the water/ice dispenser locked. This girl keeps me on my toes......and a smile on my face. : )

A few weeks ago we started our Spring garden. It's still early in the season but we have a lot of growth and I'm excited! Am hoping this years crop is better than last.

Oh happy day.....

Today started out rough. Nothing major happened. Just one of those days that you wish you could go back to bed and start all over again. You know what I'm talking about, right? So, I was really needing a pick me up tonight and that's exactly what I got. I have been in a lot of prayer lately about whether God wants me to persue my sewing business or is it meant to be a hobby. I've asked for a sign and that may have just come in an email tonight. I had 2 orders placed this evening for dresses. I was completely surprised and caught off guard! Isn't that the way God works though? What a wonderful way to end the day! : )

I'm feeling the blue fever....

I have been on the prowl the last 2 weeks looking for the perfect patch of bluebonnets. Am hoping we'll find more the next couple of weeks but wanted to snag a few pictures, just in case my plan backfires on me!

Happy Spring Y'all!!!

Spring Break----Post 2

Sunday afternoon and spur of the moment we decided to eat dinner and head to the park. The weather was amazing and I couldn't stand spending our last few hours of spring break inside.

What an awesome way to end Spring Break!

Spring Break----Post 1

Friday Michael took off so we could take the kids out strawberry picking. In previous years we've gone to one out in Plantersville, but haven't been happy with them the last 2 years. So, we took a trip out to Alvin this year. Yep, it's a good drive, but oh so worth it! The berries are awesome and they have a little farmers market there as well. And honey if the strawberries weren't enough to get ya out there......they have fried pies!!! Golly those things were heaven! I promise I could've eaten another one myself! Am contemplating another trip for the strawberries.....just so I can get my hands on another one of them pies!

Pure sweetness!!!
