Dress, baskets and fitness

Ainsley and I ran to JoAnn's today. Needed the finishing things for her dress and Tanner's Easter basket. Haven't finished her dress, but the baskets are 'bout done. You'll see them below.

The Modge Podge isn't quite dry....that's why it's still white in spots. Still have a couple finishing touches. This has been a new experience but really fun! Michael even got in on the gluing fun tonight! Thanks babe! : )

Tanner's school had "Family Fitness Night" tonight. No, they aren't resting...it was a dance (er, warm up activity) they do everyday in PE.

Another one...but it was called the shuffle. For all you Texas gals, it was a lot like line dancing. Just had a flashback to the 90's! HA!!!

This is Michael hula hooping, or at least attempting it! Pure entertainment. Laughed so hard my belly hurt!

A Good Feelin'

It's Monday. And I have caught up on all that's been going on for the past 6 weeks. See, I told ya I was behind. Jeez, that's ridiculous though! Here's 2 pictures from today. Am really hoping I can get my act together and post daily.

Tanner was frantically trying to finish up his homework so he could come out in the backyard with me.

Just realized how big she looks in her new booster seat. I had been sitting her in her Bumbo seat at the backdoor, but she's getting brave and I was afraid she'd tip the doggone thing over.
I've been working in the backyard. We moved the grill out back and I've started a small veggie/herb garden. Will hopefully upload pictures when I get it finished.....I'm almost there. I'm also in the process of making the kids their Easter baskets and Ainsley's dress. Yep I know it's crunch time. Better hop to it, get it?? Haha!!!

Had to...

I have a picture of Tanner doing the same exact thing. Am hoping I can find it and re-post this. She is such a hoot.

Early Release and a surprise

Friday was early release for Tanner. So, I thought we'd take our annual road trip to pick strawberries. We go once every year, a tradition we started 5 years ago.

Ainsley's first strawberry pickin' experience.

Spring Break 2010

First day of Spring Break. Tanner, Ainsley and I head to Toys R Us for a Frisbee and a a few other toys. We hit Chick-fil-A for lunch and then headed over to the park. Michael surprised Tanner and dropped in for lunch.
Decided she was ready to sit up on her own. Nuthin' like a half naked baby! : )

Playing Frisbee with Dad at Town Green Park.

Old Town Spring for lunch on Friday.

That sweet boy loves on his little sister like you wouldn't believe! Wonder how long that's gonna last?!

The Texas Declaration of Independence was signed. Washington-on-the-Brazos was having its annual celebration on Feb. 28th. Tanner had been studying this in school, so we thought it'd be fun for him to see where it actually took place.

Burning of some extra energy before lunch. Speaking of food, what goes with festivals/ fairs like peanut butter and jelly? Funnel cakes and kettle corn! YUM!!!! Forget lunch let's have dessert. I have a "thing"for both (just in case you were wondering) ; )
This is where the Declaration was signed. Cool, huh?

Isn't she yummy?

Massive magnolia tree (heart them)! Notice how little Tanner looks hanging on one of the branches?

Our hands barely touched. Can only imagine how old this tree is!

10 things you don't know...

I am SO far behind on updating my blog and that irritates me more than you can imagine. Yes, I'm one of those people! : ) So, I thought I'd do something different and make myself feel better in the process. I've listed a few things about me that you probably don't know. Please play along. It'll be fun!

1. I'm addicted to note cards and sharpies.
2. I'm a total list freak. Usually have 3 going at one time. To-do list, grocery list and weekly menu
3. Can't stand white walls.
4. Have to have my bed made
5. Feel like a failure if dinner isn't made.
6. I read cookbooks like some read novels.
7. enjoy sewing, gardening and taking pictures
8. fabric stores....oh, so much fun!!!
9. I do laundry every day. I can't handle seeing piles upon piles of it!!
10. Must have a clean kitchen

Alright, it's your turn now!

A New Ride

Tanner finally decided he wanted to ride the school bus. I was a bit hesitant because he has the hardest time getting up in the morning. So, we talked about it and told him he'd have to getup and get moving or else. ; )
Man, I shoulda had him ride the bus sooner. This child can now move. Didn't think it was possible. He gets done with time to spare.
The look on his face when he gets off the bus is priceless. It definitely boosted his confidence level.

Valentine's Day

Michael had laid roses out for Ainsley and I. Both of us had one laying beside us on the bed. : )

My valentine. We went to Double Dave's for lunch.

The loves of my life. I thank God everyday for the gift that they are to me! I love y'all!!

After lunch we headed over to Shankz. Very cool place for kids....big and small ones. ; )

We also played blacklight miniature golf but the pictures didn't turn out.

How do you end an already fun and special day? With ice cream of course!! Ainsley kept eyeballing my icecream. I thought she'd realize it was cold and not want it....but

Was I wrong! I thought I was gonna have to fight her for it! Ha! : )

We finished our day off by walking down to the park. Not sure that we burned off much of our lunch and dessert. But it was fun nonetheless. Thank you baby for a wonderful day!
Love you!!
