Back to School

Monday was the first day of 1st grade. I can not believe how fast time is going by! Seriously!! It seems like yesterday I sent him off to Kindergarten....still remember how hard that was. I cried all the way home. Oh, and I'm doing it again! Tanner has grown SO much this last year. Not just physically...but in all the ways that you want your children to grow. And although you are so very proud of who they are becoming.....it also breaks your heart in to. I remember when he was little....doing nothing all day except changing diapers, feeding and cleaning up again another mess....wondering if I was ever get through it. Oh, how I miss those days! So, to all you new(or not so new) moms.....cherish each day. Enjoy all the little, inconvenient, time consuming and irritating things. Because I promise you that it will be gone before you know it and you'll be dropping your "baby" off at school and driving home (and crying) wondering where did the time go.

Meet the Teacher

1st Grade
2009-2010

Friday was Meet the Teacher. Tanner was not enthusiastic about the idea of school starting again. Which really surprised me.... because he LOVED kindergarten! Once we finally made it in....school supplies in tow...he got excited! Here he is putting his name on all his things.
He woke up yesterday morning wanting to know "how many more days till school started". I told him 3....not the answer he was looking for! Have to say I'm glad he enjoys school so much....sure makes the mornings a whole easier!! : )

Still Missing Something....

Here is a peek at some of the things that are in Ainsley's room.
This is a coat rack that I found at Hobby Lobby....along with the letters and the flowers. It was originally all raw wood. So, I found the pink and brown paints to match her room! Fun!!! The outfit is one that we picked out to bring her home in. The pants (that you can't see) are brown with polka dots. I made her a bow to match. Accessorizing this girl already! : )

Love this sign. We have it hanging above her door way.

Although you can't really see the bumper pad that great....it has pink/brown flowers along with butterflies all over it. Like the wall hangings! : )

This Girl Can Move!!

I went in for my 38 week check-up on Tuesday. They did a follow-up ultrasound because she was breech. Good news.....she now has her head down. Now that doesn't mean she can't flip back around.....apparently she still has plenty of room for somersaults! Hehe!! The C-section for Wednesday was cancelled.
This just goes to show you what God can do.....even with the doc giving us a 3 percent chance of her moving. All we need is faith....even if it is a little bit.
If you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, 'Move from here to there' and it will move. Matthew 17:20

SO not what I expected...

Today was my 37 week check up. Also had my last ultrasound.....or so I thought. Our sweet little girl is BREECH!!! Surprised....and speechless. With all the pressure that I've had the last month or so I just knew she had her head down.....now we know it's been her feet dancing around! Ouch! : ) Hmmm.... a little stinker already???
The doc said there was a way to make her move...but he felt that if she is breech then God has a reason for it. So good to hear....that's not something you'll hear a doctor say very often.
I am scheduled to have a C-section on the 19th.....that is if she doesn't turn before then. There is a 3 percent chance that she can still turn...not great odds I know. BUT I have faith that God will pull us through this.

I go back next Tuesday for another ultrasound.

Here's a few other things we found out today:

She is approx. 6 lbs. 11 oz.
Has hair already....yes we could see that on the ultrasound.
Has long legs
Had a heart rate of 141

Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. Philippians 4:6-7

7 Year Check Up

We had Tanner's 7 yr old check up today! He had been SO nervous about going today......the thought of shots had his pulse racing. He hardly said a word at the doctor's office. Here's the growth news on him:
Weight: 51 lbs. 6 oz. (50-75%)
Height: 48 3/4" (50-75%) Grew 2 1/2 inches since last year
BMI: 15.08 (25-50%) we have a lean one on our hands....trust me it's not that we
don't feed 'em....have you seen the pizza this boy can put
away???
