Last night at church we had a guest speaker....Mark Batterson. For those of you who have never heard of him....he is the pastor at National Community Church in Washington D.C.
Tonight's sermon was "Wild Goose Chase".....the adventure of not knowing where God will lead us. Do you know where you are in your life? Have you answered the call that God has placed on your heart? Are you certain you are where God wants you? Oh, I have prayed that prayer so many times the last few months. "God, if this isn't where you want me please help me get to where YOU want me". Do you have one of those places that you feel closer to God than any other place in the world? Like you can feel his presence....as if he's standing right beside you?
We may not get that answer we've been praying for....maybe He's waiting on us to make a decision and take that leap of faith. Only then will we truly see where our adventure is.
Here's a quote from Mark's book. "The difference between where you are and where God wants you to be may be the painful decision you refuse to make".
My hope and prayer for us all it that we have the courage to take that step and let God use us the way that only He can.
